The Beer, The Glass

Within the design and branding of this company, I chose to explore the dark and unsettling tales of four female spirits, all of whom appear at first as someone they are not, but are deceitfully vengeful in their true form. The legends of Kuchisake-Onna, La Llorona, Deer Woman, and Soucouyant have been told for centuries as a way to instill a sense of caution and fear of the unknown in the listener, however, this project became an exploration into what place fear and horror can have in advertising and product consumption. By allowing the focus to be on the characters, I developed a hierarchy within the design and added elements inspired by optical illusions to accent each character and create balance.
