Abstract
Apps function to increase productivity and allow the user to complete tasks conveniently from their mobile device. As a college student who has several pets, I have found that there is no good app on the market which caters to every pet parent’s needs, which forces them to download four or five apps. To combat this problem, FurPaws gives the user a way to document every aspect of their pet’s health and daily routine, as well as providing information on first aid and expert, real-time advice from veterinarians. The E-Vet page is available to guests who have not yet registered, which includes a Symptom Guide, Search by Breed, VetChat, and First Aid. Once registered, users will then be able to create a profile for their pet, documenting medical records, daily food and water intake, set reminders, and also activity level. With FurPet’s built in sharing options, the user can connect their account with another, such as with a spouse. Also, the app will automatically create instructions on how to care for the pet which can be printed out or sent electronically. FurPet aims to make the life of each pet parent easier and improve the overall health of their pet by documenting its daily routine.
