This research explores a way to rid the need of researching each individual museum webpages by having all of the information about museums in one mobile application. The application’s name “Gallerie” is the plural form of the word “gallery” in Italian, referencing their vast collection of art known internationally. This application is a hub for all types of museums and galleries with information such as: exhibitions, collections currently on display, hours of operation, ticket purchasing, directions, social media photos of the location, and ride sharing integration. With the millennial generation and generation Z aging, their interest in museums will increase. However, with young adult’s attraction to mobile devices and conveniences, museums need a way to make art-viewing easy. A way to reach this new market would be to have major museum associations collaborate to have their information available on one network. With integration of online payments, calendar reminders, ride sharing apps, and social media, Gallerie could help art-lovers discover, share and experience more art with others.
