Analysis of Hydrocracking Products Using GC-MS
Abstract
Biodiesel was synthesized by the hydrocracking of peanut oil. This synthesis method breaks the long hydrocarbon chains present in peanut oil, which results in shorter hydrocarbon chains characteristic of biodiesel. The product of hydrocracking was analyzed using GC-MS. Samples of CO2, propane, and other hydrocarbons were prepared and analyzed using GC-MS.
