Existentialist Views Within the Absurd
Abstract
Absurdity explored through existential eyes creates a world focused on the individual and the human response of free will and the consequences that come with every decision that the individual makes. I will explore the existential aspects that are embodied within the theatre of the absurd and what the text leads the audience to believe about the world that they exist within in relation to the world of a play. I will perform a monologue to demonstrate these concepts through the utter failure of man in a world that is indifferent towards humanity as the philosophy during this era is expressed in the theatrical process.
