Al Qaeda’s Ultimate Victory
Abstract
Al Qaeda's Ultimate Victory discusses the terrorist group Al Qaeda and its relations to U.S. foreign policy. This paper seeks to provide the inner workings of the organization in order to explain its actions and reactions to the United States after September 11, 2001. The United States post 9/11 sought to eliminate Al Qaeda not only from the Middle East but from the earth entirely. Ultimately during the War on Terror, the U.S. government not only did not succeed in this elimination but also enabled the group to expand and grow. It was because of the inner workings of Al Qaeda and the United States' inability to comprehend these inner workings that led to the failure of U.S. foreign policy in relation to this terrorist group.
