With the increasing evolution of smartphones has come the advancing creativity of smartphone applications. Nowadays the number of existing cooking and food-related apps is seemingly endless, yet most of them are built with the same functions and layouts including recipe searches, meal planners, cooking tutorials and social media aspects such as usernames and follower counts. But what if there was an application that combined all of these features while making them easier to use? Meet “Hungry Hound,” the mobile application that makes cooking simple and stress-free by generating personal cooking recommendations based on what edibles the user already has in their possession. When using “Hungry Hound” the user simply logs whatever food they already have (or they may easily take a picture of their receipt after grocery shopping which automatically logs their purchased food) into their “stock” and the app will “sniff out” recipes for the user based on what they have logged. This way the user will not have to go out and buy more ingredients they may not have in order to make a recipe. “Hungry Hound” comes with countless additional features, as well as a playful atmosphere with simple iconography and a friendly looking mascot, all of which will make it fun, fast, and easy for the user to get cooking.
