A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR...
This collection of student research papers from fall semester 2003 and spring semester 2004 represents a tremendous amount of hard work and acquired knowledge of the GC&SU students and their faculty sponsors. They are also a reflection of the dedicated Faculty Review Board who reviewed each paper, recommended improvements, and chose the best out of many insightful and well-written papers. Putting together the journal has been an exceptionally rewarding student experience, and I would like to give special thanks to Dr. Robin Harris, publisher, for her support, and to Christina Homer, copy editor, for her invaluable assistance.
