The Great Blue Heron is a portrait of a heron standing on one leg on a log. To me, this represents the ability to be independent and support oneself throughout life.
All my pieces are made for my own use and motivation. After the passing of my grandfather, birds became a way for me to feel safe and have a sense of comfort. The Great Horned Owl, Kingfisher, and Great Blue Heron are my current favorites in their own aesthetic and emotional ways.
