Abstract
Species of the aulicus species group of Neoporus in North America are taxonomically revised. The aulicus species group is currently monotypic and forms one of the most aberrant species groups of Neoporus. Its large size (5.0-6.0 mm) and non-declivous prosternal process immediately distinguish it from all other members of the genus Neoporus. Detailed analysis of this “species” throughout its range indicates it is actually a species complex of at least two species. The distributional pattern of members of the aulicus species group is similar to the distributional pattern of members of the semivitattus species group of Platambus.
