Abstract
While Celtic revival has gained considerable attention in several regions of Great Britain in recent times, its legacy in Spain is often overlooked. Ever since its heroic defense in the name of liberty and self-determination, Numantia's struggle against the vastly superior Roman army in 133 B.C.E. has inspired and captured the imagination of poets, politicians, communities and even an entire nation. This presentation, given in Spanish, will analize how Celts and Iberians formed a conglomerate culture that despite its technological handicaps constantly repelled Roman invasions in the Iberian Penninsula. The last organized "Celtiberian" resistance at Numantia echoed across the ages and is perhaps the most consistant,ever-lasting and thought-provoking Celtic legacy in Spain.
