Abstract

The focus of this research is a combination of a literary review on teaching the elements of literature and how that study impacted the creation of a unit on fables and myths for a seventh grade class. The research also examines what a unit focusing on literary elements might look like and which strategies would be best to use to complement the foundational method. The conference presentation will be insightful for other future educators of secondary education, especially those interested in English/Language Arts. .
