Abstract

My study aims to address the topic of building trust in a High School Social Studies classroom. Upon doing background research on the topic of democratic classrooms, I have narrowed down that the most important first step towards creating an infrastructure for this type of education environment is to first build trust amongst the students. Additionally, trust must be cemented between the students and their teachers. I am mere days from submitting my IRB. My study will use a before and after survey concerning trust, with semi-regular Tickets Out the Door to build trust and intellectual security.
