Abstract
This presentation details instruction of kindergarten students utilizing the art of creating puppets and developing characterization. The students can choose from any materials presented and may make their puppet(s) any way they wish, after being shown a demonstration of how some puppets operate. The students must consider characterization and make choices to best convey the kind of character they want. Thus, the students not only learn of puppetry, but also of how choices affect outcomes. May also be of interest to early childhood education and artists.
