Abstract

Over the last five years species of Saturniidae were surveyed in Northern Georgia with an emphasis on Baldwin County. Specimens were collected and then curated in the Georgia College insect collection for later presentation. Moths were identified to the species level and sexed. Fifteen species of moth have been recorded for the Baldwin County area. A museum exhibit of the saturniid moths is being prepared for display that will include descriptions of each species for the larval and adult forms. The final goal is to place the exhibit in Herty Hall for education and enjoyment.
