Abstract

Luis Valdez is known as the father of Chicano culture. The plays he is most well known for are "Zoot Suit," and "I Don't Have to Show You No Stinkin' Badges." This paper will look at the major role that Valdez played in spreading awareness to the discrimination of Hispanics in theatre, film and television and his impact on Chicano culture.
