Abstract

This paper compares and contrasts the impact of British colonialism on the media systems of Ghana and India. First I will separately study Ghana and India’s indigenous culture and British colonial past. I will then look for influences from each country's British colonial experience that are reflected in their respective modern media systems. Differences in the media systems in these two countries to a certain extent may be traced to their unique colonial experiences.
