Abstract
Entomologists and students at Georgia College and Chancellor University (National University of Malawi) partnered to pursue a preliminary faunal analysis of the aquatic Coleoptera of central Malawi. This research deals only with the genus Copelatus. Members of Copelatus are abundant and common in central Malawi. We cannot confidently name the species; instead they are designated by number for the time being. Each species is taxonomically analyzed and illustrated.
